We had a great experience with David's company last week! The team showed up on time, packed the truck efficiently, did not ding a wall or piece of furniture (including 5 dressers) while loading the truck. They moved us into a brand new house with extremely tight turns going up the stairs and again didn't ding a wall or piece of furniture. The team was very friendly and made us feel very comfortable! My wife and 8month old son were there during the move as well. We will recommend Central Moving & Storage to anyone in our area (Apex, Holly Springs, Fuquay Varina).
YOU COULDN'T GET ON BASE BECAUSE YOU LIED ABOUT HAVING A CRIMINAL WITH YOU, AND YOU DIDN'T COME BACK BECAUSE YOU DRIVE ILLEGALLY.
YOU HAVE PUT US IN A SERIOUS PREDICAMENT, ONE WEEK OUT FROM OUR MOVE DAY WITH NO MOVERS!
THIS COMPANY IS NOT A COMPANY I WOULD EVER RECOMMEND USING. THEY HIRE FELONS/CRIMINALS (which isn't bad, but LYING about it IS).
He delayed coming out for the estimate a couple of weeks, putting his price estimate day ONE week before our moving day.
When talking to David Wicker (the owner), we were initially very happy. He seemed courteous and would move us out of military/ base housing (which many companies in the area don't deal with, and now we know why).
So I called the gate to find out that:
So now on top of my husband deploying and trying to get ready for an out of state move, I will be hunting for another moving and storage company, 1 WEEK PRIOR TO MOVING.
#2) he didn't have current tags on the trailer he was pulling. (Which is why he didn't just drop the guy off and come do the estimate).
#1) his helper didn't meet base criteria. Which means he is either a felon or has more than 3 misdemeanors on his record. (Which would be someone i wouldn't want moving my belongings or around my children anyways). (((THIS would be a good time to mention that I explained the first day I spoke with the owner, that he couldn't have people with any criminal records cone through the gate)))
He called when he got to the gate and explained the MP's turned him away for some minimal thing on his helpers record. I asked him to drop the guy off and come do the estimate, but he declined, telling me to get it worked out with the gate before he would come back.
The MP was nice enough to not write him a ticket for illegal tags on his trailer.
WE WILL ALSO NOT BE USING YOUR STORAGE FACILITY "ELITE STORAGE" IN SANFORD, NC.
If I could leave ZERO stars, I would.
