went in looking for a new car. spoke with sales person Susan in the lot while she was what looked to be writing down VIN numbers on some paper and looked at and test drove a 2017 cr-v. after that we went to her desk where we waited for about an hour while she walked around the showroom going form room to room talking with other associates until finally she decided to get keys and a vehicle for a family that was sitting in the lobby. while she was with them they saw her come over to her desk where we were and i overheard them ask her if she was already helping someone else to which she responded "Yeah, but they're fine." when they asked her if she was sure she again responded with "That's just the nature of it". When finally she did decide to give her attentions to us she was rather short and very take it or leave it with the offer. i told her we were going to be shopping around with other car lots in town and to call me with the best price on monday. she doesnt call until tuesday and when i asked her about the offer going down any she began talking down to me over the phone saying the price that was offered was very generous (it wasnt generous for the record) and that maybe i need to be looking at the cars on the used car lot. i dont think its too much to want a dealership to come down more on price on a 2017 when the year is about to end in a little over a week, but apparently because i even mentioned the price being reduced i didnt deserve to be talked to like an adult.*****EDITED TO CORRECT SALES PERSON NAME*****
Today, I had a most wonderful experience having my car serviced at Sanford Honda. I was checked in by Daniel, and everything from there went uphill. He was most personable, determined what I needed to have done, and the cost was very reasonable. Another thing is that the facility is impeccably clean and it is an inviting place to wait on one's vehicle.
Love my dealership. I've been dealing with them for over 20 years. They are the best from sales to service to parts. Wouldn't want to go any where else.
My biggest complaint is not the mechanical problems. The vehicle is 27 years old. But none of this was disclosed before I drove 1.15 hours to see the vehicle and the pricing was set at a premium for this make and year, leading me to believe that it was in good condition. Made a reasonable offer for a vehicle in that condition but was not taken seriously. Makes me wonder what "certified" actually means. I am very disappointed.
My salesman, Jerros, was not your typical car saleman. He understands that a car purchase is a huge decision and did not pressure me. The general manager walked around like he owened the place (hence 4 stars and not 5) but the overall process was very short and sweet. Once I made my decision, I wrote my check signed 2 documents and was out the door.
The vehicle was on another lot maybe 2 blocks away. It looked very nice but that was all that was nice. Dealership had trouble getting it started. None of the windows worked. None of the door locks worked. Ac did not work. Vehicle had a horrible skip and almost did not make it back to the dealership. Something in the steering was very wrong and was hard to keep it on the road.
I found a used vehicle online that I was interested in. Made contact with a salesman by phone (my email was never answered.) who was very accommodating. I left word with the receptionist for the time frame that I would arrive to look at vehicle but Mr. Black was never told. He was not there when I arrived and I had to wait.
